standing still

When you stand still long enough in Second Life, which is really quite hard to do, it doesn’t take long for something to happen.

I have been just puddling around in my own piece of land lately not venturing out except for a few script and building lessons, but today when I logged in what should I see but – The Tardis – on my own front lawn.

For a brief surreal moment I felt that I was suddenly going to be swept out of my ordinary life and taken on a grand adventure as a Companion, like Rose or Donna or even the marvelous Leela, with the lovely Doctor- David Tennant preferably! then I came to my senses and popped on over to say hello .

Shaman Nitely is the proud owner of the Tardis that was built by a friend (with his assistance) and he invited me to take a look inside.

I will say that at first I thought I may have been about to be abducted by some crazy Dr Who griefer and trapped in some geeks idea of a joke but, before I new it I was swept up into the temporal realm of the Tardis and taken on a journey complete with malfunctioning apparatus (put right by the good old Sonic Screwdriver of course) and even a menacing visit by some of the Doctors enemies all in a very realistic representation of a Tardis interior with sound effects and a particle show.

Who would have thought it!

And Hey, I even got to keep my own personal Dalek!

ciao
