The avatars are escaping!

With clever use of a webcam and lighting, artist Julian Stadon has created a fascinating installation at Curtin University in Western Australia.

Soon your second life av could jump from the screen and converge with your first – is that a bit like the paradox of meeting your future self? Could we all disappear in a puff of particles? I hope I look in better shape than this av though who seems to be missing a few vital parts.
